Restructuring of marketing and product management functions


JSW supported a client in the restructuring efforts of its marketing and product management function. This included also the review of product quality ensurance processes. Current process responsibilties were systematically identified, reassigned and streamlined.

The client produced manufacturing equipment components targeting a wide range of different industries. While strong technical commonalities exist between products each individual target industry also required specific features unique to its industry. As a result, the client was faced with a very complex array of needs to be served with its products. Thus the marketing and product management structure had to find a meaningful compromise between product family scale advantages and differentiation to enable an industry specific approach to the varying needs of customer industries.

In addition, JSW supported the management team in a strategy workshop to review and evaluate strategic initiatives and asign priorities thereby focusing company resources on the most promising targets.
